I’m an encyclopedia for horror since age 4. Grew up watching horror films and playing series like Resident Evil. Final Girl is in my blood.
We would like to thank you for supporting Tanaya Ree in this year's competition. Your participation helps aid the Starlight Children's Foundation in its mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families through virtual reality experiences, fun hospital wear, games, and positivity!
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Didn’t have enough money for a costume one year as a kid, so I put on a winter jacket I had made by JLO with a furry hoodie and said I was an eskimo. The other kids didn’t like that.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I’ve survived childhood bullying, depression, and having a chronic illness (Rheumatoid Arthritis) so survival is in my blood. Ripley and the cat from Alien are my spirit animals.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’m currently producing a horror thriller film with my friends called My Kids that is set in New Orleans and we’re looking to shoot with a micro budget and it’s currently partially financed. I’d invest at money in to the film, $3,000 to pay off medical expenses, $1800 to pay back friends who helped me during a rough period. The rest will be used for moving expenses and as a giveaway of Nintendo Switch 2 for my community.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
Tony Robbins is someone who motivates and inspires me so I would love to survive a horror film with him. He also had a difficult childhood but used that experience to help empower others so he’s the perfect option to help me survive.
