What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Halloween 2025, I shared the spooky spirit with a friend, who’s an international student from Cyprus, and never immersed himself into Halloween. I live in Ottawa, so I took him to Frightfest at Saunders farm, pumpkin carving, haunted houses, and finding comfort in terror. I shared the community that I’m apart of that I deeply love, and showed him Halloween is beyond trick or treating and I’m so grateful I was able to introduce a new world of horror. Definitely a core memory for me.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

This depends on the horror movie, but to base it off common tropes: I don’t have kids (eliminates possibility for “imaginary friends” lurking in innocent drawings) I’m single (no risk of having a shitty husband who gaslights me/my concerns the whole movie), I take action at any suspicious activity (NOT move into a house where the previous family was viciously slaughtered), my friend have common sense and will NOT split up in times of danger, and I don’t fuck around with ouija boards.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I would donate the money to the creative arts and film studies. I believe we need to invest more of our time to small productions trying to make it big in the horror industry. I think it’s important to focus on new ideas, and expand the horror scene because the possibilities are endless.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Lorraine Warren is my hero, and her experiences as a paranormal investigator vs her portrayal in the Conjuring is vastly different. While I enjoy the love story of Ed and Lorraine in the series (and Vera Farmigas performance) , her reality was a horror movie in itself. She suffered abuse from Ed, and major public scrutiny regarding the legitimacy of the paranormal. In a horror movie, she has the strength and knowledge to face supernatural and real life endeavours. I would trust her with my life.
