What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

We lived in an apartment that felt haunted, but one night made it terrifying. A door suddenly slammed shut. My mom was sitting at the table when she felt something slap the back of her leg—but no one was there. A slamming door could be explained away. Something touching her when nobody was behind her? That was the moment our own home stopped feeling safe.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’m Bosslady, and I don’t go investigating strange noises in the basement! I write horror, so I know the tricks: never split up, never trust the sudden silence, and always know your exits. I’ll scream, but I’ll keep moving. The monster better be ready, because I’m stubborn, resourceful, and determined to make it to the sequel!

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d turn that unlucky $13,000 into a lucky new chapter! I’d help my family get on steadier ground and invest in my creative dreams, from writing horror to bringing Paranormal Idiots to life. A little financial breathing room would let this Bosslady spend more time creating nightmares and less time worrying about them!

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My husband, Thomas. He’s been beside me through some of life’s scariest moments, and I’d want him beside me when the lights start flickering! We’d probably both scream, but we’d keep each other moving. I’m Bosslady, he’s Bossman, and we’re making it to the credits together—even if I have to drag him past the ghosts!
