What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

We spent the night power-walking through our neighborhood in ridiculous inflatable costumes, determined to hit as many houses as possible before the streetlights went out. Trudging up porches, trying not to trip over our giant foam feet, and trading favorite candies under the warm porch lights made us feel like kids again. Ending the night sitting on a cold curb, sorting our massive haul of chocolate with sticky hands and sore legs, was simple autumn magic at its best.

Sharp, skeptical, and wildly practical, you’d ignore every cliché trap and be the last one standing, sipping coffee in an ambulance as the sun rises.
