What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable Halloween is pure 70's! As soon as the streetlights buzzed on we'd take off on banana seat bikes with our pillow cases trick or treating the whole neighborhood unsupervised until they were bursting. Then we'd race home with our loot dumping it out on the shag carpet and sort through it while we stayed up way too late watching Creature Feature eating candy until we were sick! That's where my lifelong love of Halloween began with the feeling of pure freedom.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Because I'm the girl who knows the rules. I would NOT investigate the noise alone, I wouldn't trip over anything and I'd never say, "I'll be right back." I was the creepy kid who watched horror under the furniture before I was allowed. I've spent decades learning how monsters think. I've made a life out of turning cuteness into creepiness Plus I'm much too stubborn to die and I'd stay alive out of pure spite! I'll be the one standing at the end covered in blood I created waiting for the sequel.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I'd put a down-payment on a real haunted house-the one all the local kids call, "The Halloween House" all year. I'd launch a paranormal channel investigating it and start building my dream art studio to create full time. I'd open it up to learn and teach makeup techniques with other horror fanatics. $13k would let me live Halloween 365 and share an unsafe space for everyone who feels at home in the dark. I'd also donate a chuck to my favorite animal rescue.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My big Brother Paul. He introduced me to horror and taught me being a little weird was a superpower, not something to hide. Creature Feature, Elvira, The Addams Family and The Munsters were our rituals. He taught me it was OK to draw monsters instead of flowers and never asked me to just act "normal". He let me be ME. That's real horror movie strength-loving the monster. I'd want him beside me at the end. No matter what.
