Dying to know what Face of Halloween is all about?
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
When I was 8, my local fire station had a haunted house. My mom was too scared to go in, so brave little me went alone. I got so mesmerized that I lost my group—and instead of leaving, I started hiding and scaring guests! An hour later, my mom panicked, the whole haunt stopped, and they found me grinning ear to ear. The firefighters gave me a werewolf costume and invited me to join the show. That night started my 23-year journey as a haunt monster, working attractions across California.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I’d make it to the end because I’ve spent 23 years on the other side of the scare. I know how monsters think, how haunts are designed, and exactly what makes people panic. Growing up on ’80s and ’90s horror taught me the rest. I wouldn’t be the person screaming and running blindly—I’d be watching, listening, reading the room, and waiting for the right moment to strike back. After 23 years as the monster, maybe it’s finally my turn to survive the movie.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’ve lived in apartments for most of my life, so I’ve never really had the chance to create the Halloween I’ve always dreamed of—decorating a house, welcoming trick-or-treaters, and making the night magical. Maybe that’s part of why I became a haunt monster. With the $13,000, I’d put it toward a down payment on a home for my family. I want my 4-year-old son to experience the Halloween I never got to have—and create memories we’ll both cherish forever.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My real-life hero is my wife. She has stood beside me through some of the scariest and darkest moments of my life and has always been my reason to SURVIVE. She’s the coal in my chamber that ignites my flame and pushes me to fight harder and come back stronger. If I had her beside me in a horror movie, I wouldn’t just survive—I’d be ready for anything. Honestly, if the world ended tomorrow, I’d want her on my team. Me and this woman could survive a nuclear war. A horror movie would be a cakewalk.
