Halloween is my favorite time of year, I love the feel of the air.
We would like to thank you for supporting Tayla Hernandez Velazquez in this year's competition. Your participation helps aid the Starlight Children's Foundation in its mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families through virtual reality experiences, fun hospital wear, games, and positivity!
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
One of my favorite things about Halloween is how it brings everyone together. Some of my best memories are getting dressed up, decorating, taking pictures, going out for Halloween fun, and seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces. There’s just something magical about Halloween that makes ordinary moments feel like memories you’ll keep forever.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I’d definitely make it to the end because I’m not the person running toward the creepy noise! I’d stay calm, think ahead, trust my instincts, and most importantly, NEVER split up. I’d be the one making the survival plan while everyone else is panicking.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’d use it to make memories with my family—take a fun trip, do something we’ve always wanted to do, and put some aside for the future. I’d want my “unlucky” $13,000 to turn into a whole lot of lucky memories!
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
I’d want to survive with my daughter. She’s incredibly smart, level-headed, and thinks clearly under pressure. I know she’d keep me calm, help us make smart decisions, and make sure we never do anything stupid like splitting up! Together, I think we’d make a pretty unstoppable horror-movie team.
