Tara Scaggs

I grew up on horror movies since 1980. My very first scary movie was called Curtains. And Iโ€™ve been a horror queen ever since.

Whatโ€™s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My favorite Halloweens are the ones filled with my kids, grandkids, costumes, candy and chaos—the kind of memories money could never buy.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’d make it to the end because I’m a mom, grandma, and survivor—I’ve handled real-life chaos, raised kids, dealt with enough drama to last a lifetime, and I KNOW better than to say, “I’ll be right back!” ๐Ÿ˜‚ I’m staying with the group, keeping my phone charged, trusting my gut, and leaving the minute something feels wrong. And if somebody says, “Let’s split up”… ABSOLUTELY NOT! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I’m making it to those credits!

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

First, I’d probably scream, “LUCKY 13, BABY!” ๐Ÿ˜‚ Then I’d use it to make memories with the people I love most. I’d put some toward our future, spoil my family a little, and take a well-deserved trip with my fiancé. Life is too short to wait for the “perfect” time to enjoy it. I’d turn that supposedly unlucky $13,000 into something beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My real-life hero is my sister Tia. We are both Geminis so that explains our love for horror movies!! But, If I’m going into a horror movie, that’s my girl! Tia is the kind of person who stays calm when everybody else is losing it, and she’s not leaving me behind. Between the two of us, we’d have a plan, a backup plan, and probably be laughing when we’re supposed to be scared. If I have to survive the night, I want my sister by my side. Tia and I are making it to the credits!
