My most memorable Halloween was when I was 11 years old, because I finally got to go trick-or-treating with my mom. It was the best night. Her friends surprised me by giving me a beautiful labradorite moonstone, and to make the evening even more magical, I ended up winning the costume contest

I would make it to the end because I don't ignore the warning signs. If I see a vision of a crow standing on a mountain ledge, I listen to the spiritual message instead of wandering into the dark. I have the practical DIY skills to fix things under pressure, I know when to lay low, and I absolutely know better than to touch anything tied to the Hat Man. I play smart, stay alert, and stay alive.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I would break the "bad luck" of that $13,000 by turning it into a force for good. First, I’d take care of immediate practical needs like paying off the light bill. Then, I would invest the rest directly into my future: funding a startup for a small food crop farm, building a greenhouse, and laying the groundwork for a nonprofit clothing and resource business to help my community.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

If I had to face a real-life horror movie, the one person I would want by my side is my mother. She is my absolute hero. Not only is she someone I share my happiest, most magical memories with—like that perfect Halloween when I was 11—but she is a constant source of strength. Surviving a terrifying situation takes trust, deep loyalty, and a strong bond, and there is no one I trust more to have my back and help me make it to the final credits.
