What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

I had the rare and wonderful opportunity to work in a large world-famous haunted house over the Halloween season. Besides never missing a year celebrating, dressing up, over-decorating, and surprising and delighting trick-or-treaters, and haunting on Halloween, this is one of my favorite Halloween experiences ever. I won't repeat the insults hurled at me in absolute terror as I smiled behind my makeup.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’d make it to the end because I know the rules: never split up, never investigate strange noises, and absolutely never say, “I’ll be right back.” I’d stay calm, trust my instincts, and let everyone else make the questionable decisions. Besides, I’ve spent years taking off one face every morning and putting on another. Surviving a horror movie? I’m already professionally trained in pretending everything is fine.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

$13,000? First, I’d buy something completely unnecessary and wonderfully ridiculous. Then I’d put the rest toward my art, because apparently I need another creative outlet. And, naturally, I’d reserve a little for Halloween next year. If I’m going to become the Face of Halloween, I might as well make the transformation everyone’s problem.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My wife. She’s my real-life hero, my favorite person, and the one person I’d trust to have my back when things go bump in the night. She’d probably save me from the killer, then save me from whatever terrible decision I was about to make. If we’re going to survive a horror movie, I want her beside me. Preferably holding the axe.
