Ryan Dineen

With a face like mine, Halloween is my only option. The good news is Halloween is the only holiday I would want to be the face of.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My wife and I got married on Halloween at a farmhouse in Virginia. We knew we wanted to get married in October, and that year Halloween happened to fall on a Saturday, so we went with it. Though the bridal party wore suits and dresses, every other guest wore costumes, and our bridal party changed into costumes after the ceremony. We had Halloween decorations all over the venue, which was an open air barn. It smelled like hay, burnt leaves and fire. It was the perfect Halloween.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Having been a horror fan since childhood, I know all the pitfalls and traps to avoid. The name of the game isn't heroics. It's survival. Also, as a fella, I know my role will be to support the final girl, which I will do proudly. I imagine I will take a knife to the gut, or get some fingers hacked off, but in the final reel they'll be loading my fat ass onto a stretcher and slamming me in the back of an ambulance.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I would shoot a micro-budget horror film using my cell phone or DSLR. The filming location would be my house. The 13 grand would be for FX and to pay the actors and crew. There will be blood. And there will be BBQ.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My daughter Fiona. She is only 7 years old, but seems to have some Matilda action going on. I pity the villain that crosses her path. She's smart and crafty, and can figure out a good mystery. I would love to find myself dropped into the middle of a whodunnit slasher with her. I'll take all the abuse and she can put her brain towards solving the mystery and bringing that slasher to justice. (That justice likely manifesting as a viciously brutal death).
