What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Easily, it was the year I met Clive Barker at a Halloween party in L.A. He was signing autographs in a private area. My then-girlfriend's Lords of Salem costume got the attention of Clive's assistant. Clive and I got on famously, and he generously made drawings for me and my mom. I shared how I got into his work as a youngster via the Books of Blood, and he admitted how much he hated most of the Hellraiser sequels. A visit to Clive's house was proposed, but alas, it never happened.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I don't consider myself to be brave and have wrestled with anxiety for many years. But I believe if I were pushed into a true life-or-death situation with a homicidal maniac, my insanity switch would be tripped, and I would unleash the inner psycho that's been lying dormant underneath all the smiles and jokes. I only hope I don't end up permanently fried like Sally from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

First, a sushi dinner celebration! Then, I would use the money to give myself breathing room after a couple of really tough years, which means clearing away some debt and taking care of necessities. Hell, maybe I'll indulge and get myself a Les Paul.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Give me Tom Cruise. That dude is fearless and unstoppable and has the full power of Scientology backing him up.
