What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Growing up in Illinois, my absolute favorite Halloween was the year I went as the Wolfman. I had faux fur sticking out of my sleeves, plastic fangs in my mouth, and face paint covering every inch of my face—I felt like a genuine creature of the night. Even having to stretch a bulky winter coat over my flannel shirt to brave the crisp Midwestern chill couldn’t ruin the magic. I stalked from porch to porch with my friends under the bright October moon, letting out dramatic howls at the sky every

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

As a horror fanatic, I’d survive a slasher flick because I know all the stupid tropes—I’m not investigating weird noises, and creepy dolls are getting chucked through windows. Horror mind games don't scare me. Most importantly, I have zero morals when the chain saw starts revving. If a monster bursts through the door, I’m shoving the nearest panicking teenager into its path to buy a head start. When the sun rises, I’ll be sitting in the ambulance drinking coffee, completely untraumatized.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

If I won $13,000, I’d bring my dream horror setup to life. First, I’d commission a movie-quality, custom-fitted Creature from the Black Lagoon suit—textured scales, realistic gills, and hyper-detailed paint work to look just like the 1954 classic Gill-man. Then, I’d drop every remaining cent straight into my horror collection, hunting down grail-status busts, rare vintage posters, and high-end props until my place looked like a full-blown museum dedicated to the genre.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

If I could pick anyone to survive a horror movie with, it would be my best friend Ben, hands down. The guy is pretty much fearless. He’s been through so much in his life that absolutely nothing rattles him, meaning a masked slasher or supernatural entity wouldn't even cause him to break a sweat. While everyone else in the group is panicking and making classic horror movie mistakes, Ben would be the unshakeable, grounding force who keeps me in check.
