What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

I met my mom after many years as my parents were divorced and she lived in another country at that time. She came to visit me and took me to a haunted house during Halloween. I was only 8 years old. I remember being scared and crying and asking her why she wasn't and she said "I am a surgeon. I see blood and scary things everyday but if it is to save a life blood is never scary to me". It made me realize that there are courageous people who see horror every day in real life to save lives.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I read survival horror like Octavia Butler to learn the lessons and survive in various conditions. I also run TTRPG games like Vampire the Masquarade, Call of Chthulu and 10 Candles for my friends to learn survival skills in a fun way for friends. As an educator, I believe horror can build intuition and survival skills. I already have solar power charger, routes mapped out and prepared for any case scenario.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

Pay off my school debt and set up scholarship of 5 micro grants for anyone going back to school in the name of my mother who passed away. I will let their ghost usher a new era of creatives as after their passing I was able to go to school.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Dr. Tananareave Due who is Black horror historian and co-writer for Jordan Peele. My second choice is Dr. R. Y. AbdulRehman who wrote Jinn the Family as he talks about history of Jinn and mental health that is close to my culture.
