Rick Nuzback

I love Halloween because it normalizes my behavior. Watching horror movies and eating candy is Tuesday to me.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Being in high school and driving out into the woods in rural Delaware. We checked out some abandoned shacks that we were told were haunted, to get there you had to drive over a rickety wooden bridge with handprints stamped all over it. It was a legitimately spooky vibe.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I carry a backup battery for my phone. I'd listen to Crazy Ralph at the mini mart. If we're in the woods in the dark and you disappear I'm calling your name twice and if you don't answer I'm moving on, I ain't "looking for" nobody.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I'd probably do some traveling, with whatever's left I'm binging on Blu Rays.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Probably Norm MacDonald. He'd bring levity to the proceedings and the comic relief usually survives as long as it's the first film in the franchise. If I picked someone too badass they'll get axed before the third act and I'm screwed. I'm not final girl material.
