Horror has always been my escape and obsession. I live for the movies that haunt you, and someday I hope to create ones that haunt others.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
My favorite Halloween memories are honestly the simple ones. Running around after dark playing Ghost in the Graveyard, night games with friends, scaring each other, and me inevitably trying to convince everyone that breaking out a Ouija board was a great idea. Nothing spectacular, just those nights where being a little scared was half the fun.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
Because I've watched way too many horror movies to make rookie mistakes. I'm not investigating the noise. I'm not reading the Latin out loud. I'm not splitting up. If the creepy kid says "don't go in there," I'm listening to that kid. And if I knock the killer down, I'm not dropping the weapon and walking away. I'm checking twice. I've been training for this my entire life without realizing it.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’d put some toward finally taking my obsession with horror from watching it to creating it. Camera gear, practical effects, locations, whatever helps me start making something genuinely scary. I’m also going through a pretty difficult divorce and losing a lot of what I spent years building, so honestly, some of that $13,000 would go toward rebuilding my life and finding my footing again. Maybe something good can come out of a rough chapter.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My best friend Larry. We’ve been friends for nearly 30 years, basically my whole life, so there’s nobody I’d trust more to survive a horror movie with. We know each other well enough that neither of us is going to suddenly wonder if the other one is secretly the killer, and more importantly, I know he’s not going to hear a noise in the woods and wander off alone to investigate it. Nearly 30 years of friendship has to count for some kind of survival bonus.
