What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

One Halloween One Halloween, we thought it would be fun. The old cannery by the river. Boarded windows, rusted docks, a skeleton of steel that groaned when the wind came off the water. Nobody went there. Which is exactly why we did. Me, Danny, Marcus, and Priya slipped through a gap in the fence, flashlights cutting weak tunnels through the dark. Inside was nothing — broken pallets, shattered glass, rot. Then we found a stairwell. And the stairs went down. "I remember that's not on any blue

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Because I actually listened to Marcus. The second he whispered something was wrong, I'd have been the one saying, "Okay, we go back. Now." But since you asked, here's the honest list: I don't split up. Ever. The group stays together, or nobody moves. "Let's check different rooms" is how people die. I don't investigate the noise. Something scraping in the dark? Congratulations, it's now someone else's problem. I'm walking the other way. I don't to

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

What I'd Do With an Unlucky $13,000 Honestly? I'd lean into the "unlucky" thing — but on my terms. First, break the curse. Take $13 out and give it away. Donate it, leave it as a tip, hand it to a stranger. Now I'm working with $12,987. Superstition handled. Then, be boring and smart: · Emergency fund — a few months of expenses in a high-yield savings account. Not exciting, but it's the thing that actually changes your life. · Pay down debt — if I had any high-interest debt

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Easy answer my mom. Here's why she'd make it to the credits: She's immune to atmosphere. A creepy hallway, flickering lights, something scraping in the dark — she'd just say "mm-hmm" and keep walking. Fear needs you to buy in. She doesn't. She doesn't panic, she organizes. The second things go wrong, she's already making a plan. Who's got the flashlight? Who's calling for help? Where's the exit? Everyone else is screaming; she's delegating. She talks to strangers.
