What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My favorite Halloween memory is one we keep building every year: turning our home into a cemetery and crypt for the neighborhood kids. Each year, it gets a little bigger, a little scarier, and more kids seem to know ours is a must-stop house on Halloween. What makes it special is knowing that something we love creating is becoming part of their Halloween memories, too. To some people, it’s just a decorated yard. To me, it’s a little Halloween magic we get to share—one scream at a time.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’m a mom of three daughters—I’ve mastered hearing suspicious noises, spotting lies, and functioning under terrifying conditions. I’m also the woman who builds a cemetery in her yard, so the creepy atmosphere is home turf. I’d trust my gut, keep my shoes on, and never investigate a basement whisper. I have Halloween plans. Dying would be inconvenient.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d turn that unlucky $13,000 into the creepiest, most unforgettable honeymoon ever. We’d explore haunted hotels, ghost towns, eerie cemeteries, and supposedly cursed landmarks—while collecting stories, photos, and memories we’d be talking about forever. I’d want a trip filled with spooky adventures, unexpected scares, and just enough romance to remind us we survived it together.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My fiancé, Pat. (Getting married 10/30/26).He’s the creative mind helping bring our homemade Halloween nightmares to life, and there’s nobody I’d rather have beside me when things get scary. We’d face the chaos with teamwork, stubbornness, and wildly inappropriate humor. Besides, we’ve put too much work into our cemetery to become permanent residents.
