Raised on horror, I've learned that survival isn't about luck, it's about paying attention/self awareness. I never investigate strange noises alone, I always check the backseat before starting the car, and I refuse to split up from the group to "look for help." Most importantly, I respect the lore, spot the red flags early, and know that the black sheep of the group often outlasts everyone else because we're already used to trusting our own instincts in the dark.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
Thirteen thousand dollars sounds like the exact cursed seed money you find in an antique box at a thrift store, which means it's coming straight home with me. First, I'd invest in a pristine, climate-controlled home library upgrade to house every classic horror novel and thriller out there. Then, I'd fund an epic, atmospheric road trip to legendary haunted locations across the country, capturing stunning moody photography along the way.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My mom. People always pick action stars or survivalists, but my mom brings a level of grounded, calm practicality that would keep us both alive. She’s observant, fiercely protective, completely immune to panic under pressure, and has the kind of intuition that would spot a disguised threat a mile away. If anyone is going to calmly unlock the rusted front gate while a masked killer is closing in behind us, it's her.
