What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
My most memorable Halloweens aren’t about being scared. I don’t scare easily. I’ve always been more fascinated by the things that frighten other people. For me, Halloween isn’t about fear. It’s about feeling right at home in the darkness.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
Because I’ve spent 25 years dealing with real-life nightmares. I’ve learned to stay calm when chaos takes over, think under pressure, and face things most people run from. Besides, I’m not the guy who runs upstairs when the killer comes knocking. I’m the guy waiting at the door.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’d put some toward my kids, invest some into Asylum 303 Studio, and probably add another creepy collectible to my collection. They call it unlucky $13,000, but I’ve spent enough time around darkness to know that sometimes the things people fear turn out to be blessings in disguise.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My real-life heroes are my two kids. They’re the reason I’ve pushed through some of the darkest chapters of my life. If we were trapped in a horror movie, I’d do whatever it took to get them out alive. And if the killer wanted to get to them, he’d have to go through me first. Trust me, that wouldn’t be the ending he was hoping for.
