What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
More than just one memorable experience, Halloween has always felt like my time of year because the stuff I love suddenly becomes normal. Everyone wants scary stories, creepy movies, costumes, haunted houses. All the things I’m into year round. For a short time, the weird and scary get to be celebrated instead of misunderstood.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I tell horror stories for a living. I know exactly which decisions get characters killed, and I’m judging them every time.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’d put it toward the next stage of Scared With Jess. I have way more horror ideas than I currently have the budget to make, so $13,000 would basically become nightmare fuel with a production budget.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My husband. We’ve watched a million horror movies together, so at this point we know exactly what to do in every situation.
