50-year-old skate punk raised on classic horror, Elvira, and hunting ghosts. I don't just love Halloween—I live it year-round.
Help your favorite Halloween fanatic appear in Rue Morgue Magazine, take home $13,000, and join Kane Hodder for a ghost hunt.
Dying to know what Face of Halloween is all about?
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Going to Knott’s Scary Farm at 12 years old. Parents dropped me and my best friend off at the gate, handed us a few bucks, and left us to the night. Getting shoved into that foggy, dark park, totally unsupervised and surrounded by ghost town monsters, scared the living hell out of us, and absolutely flipped a switch in my head. That terror instantly morphed into pure obsession. I’ve been chasing that exact high every October since, trying to recreate the magic of that first terrifying night
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
Because I don't do stupid movie tropes. I don't split up from the group, I don't investigate the weird sound in the dark basement, and I don't stand there screaming while the killer gets back up—I smash the head and keep moving. Decades of skate fall-and-recovery taught me how to take a hit, shake it off, and stay fast on my feet. Combine that survival instinct with zero panic and a complete lack of curiosity about curse words read from old books, and I’m outliving everyone in the cast
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
That $13,000 isn’t sitting in some high-yield savings account—it’s getting put to work immediately. First, I’m blowing a solid chunk on high-end haunt gear, vintage horror grail collectibles, and thermal imaging cameras for the ghost-hunting kit. The rest goes straight toward funding a cross-country October road trip hitting the most legendary haunted spots, underground haunts, and classic filming locations in North America. No fluff, no sensible adult choices just pure, unadulterated Halloween
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
Bruce Campbell, without a second thought. The man literally wrote the playbook on taking out deadites, swinging a chainsaw, and keeping a cool head when everything goes completely to hell. He’s got the ultimate blend of dry, sarcastic grit, total lack of panic, and zero patience for monster bullshit. When the body count starts rising, you don't want a squeamish bystander, you want the king himself holding down the perimeter with a smirk while we fight our way out. Hail to the king, baby.
