Halloween isn't a holiday to me—it's a lifestyle. I spend all year counting down to the one season where I truly come alive.
We would like to thank you for supporting Emily Rutsch in this year's competition. Your participation helps aid the Starlight Children's Foundation in its mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families through virtual reality experiences, fun hospital wear, games, and positivity!
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Playing a ghost for the first time for a Haunted Walk. It was during my college years and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I will always keep a weapon with me if I find one and I will never assume the killer is dead.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I would use some to help my family that always supported all the theater performances I was involved with, that never gave up on me and introduced me to horror movies at a very young age. The rest I would donate to those who have suffered real life traumatic experiences that feels like a horror movie.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My mom, who had me watching Poltergeist at the age of seven and made me fear the television. I always look up to her and I always will.
