Halloween is my favorite holiday, from the spooky atmosphere to the campy fun that comes with people embracing their inner ghoul.
Help your favorite Halloween fanatic appear in Rue Morgue Magazine, take home $13,000, and join Kane Hodder for a ghost hunt.
Dying to know what Face of Halloween is all about?
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Back in 2025, I went to the Field of Screams attraction in Pennsylvania. While I have been to a few haunted attractions beforehand (even working at one this month), this one really topped them all in terms of presentation and atmosphere. In addition to the haunted cornfield ride I took along with my friend (who's also a horror enthusiast), the house attractions felt appropriately claustrophobic and unpredictable, meaning it was hard to know what would pop out at you when you least expected it.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I would consider myself very calculated as far as horror movie tropes go and aware of my surroundings. While I would do what I can to help my fellow friends and subordinates around me, I would most likely survive a lot of the scarier obstacles by means of speaking to the threat or knowing when it will strike next.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
As an independent filmmaker hoping to continue making more films, I hope to fund a future ambitious project of mine so that it can be seen by the masses and get my foot in the film festival door much more.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
One of my long time heroes is easily my best friend, and I would easily choose her to survive a horror movie with on account of her admiring psychological horror movies like Creep and more grotesque horror like Terrifier.
