What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
In 2022 I took an October vacation to London. My entire trip was incredible, with day trips to Paris for Pere Lachaise and Scotland for a reading with Elle Nash and Genevieve Jagger (namedrop!). Halloween was my last day, and I spent it at the Somerset House for the opening of their new show, HORROR SHOW, aboit the intersection of horror visuals and art.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I have a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Archeology. If there's an ancient book or cool new artifact, I'm touching it. I am not making it to the end of the movie. If I'm lucky I'll end up a villain's sidekick.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I'd use $13000 to finance VOIDCON, a DIY literary conference for celebrating thebstrange and macabre in art, film and literature. Every year our organizing team puts it on with next to no budget. If we had $13000 we could buy our own Wicker Man and burn it down.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My wife is a martial arts expert and my external impulse control. She'll save me.
