What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Walking into Halloween Horror Nights and seeing entire horror worlds brought to life around me. I’ve loved horror for as long as I can remember, but being surrounded by thousands of other people who love it just as much made it feel like I’d found my people. Halloween has never really been one day a year for me, and experiences like that are exactly why.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’ve watched enough horror movies to know the rules. I’m not investigating the weird noise, I’m not reading the ancient book out loud, and absolutely nobody is splitting up. More importantly, I know when it’s time to stop being curious and start running. I’d like to think decades of horror fandom have been preparing me for this exact situation.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d put a big part of it back into DrPerrysCoffee and use it to create more horror-inspired releases with independent artists. Paying artists fairly and giving their work a real spotlight is one of my favorite parts of what I’m building. And since it’s an unlucky $13,000, I’d definitely save a little for something completely unnecessary, spooky and awesome.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My wife, Cassidy. She’s the person I trust most to have my back when things go sideways, and we balance each other out really well. I’d probably be overanalyzing every horror movie rule while she kept us focused and moving. If I’m surviving the night with anyone, I’d want it to be her.
