What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Every October, I run an independent haunted house in Staten Island, and every season means something to me because of the friendships, memories, and experiences we build together. But my most memorable Halloween was our final season at the Kreischer Mansion in 2024. After six years of scares, screams, and unforgettable nights, we closed the doors to the place where our haunted house truly grew into something special. Leaving was emotional, but those memories will stay with me for a lifetime.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Put me in a horror movie and I’m making it to the credits. I know scares, setups, distractions, and when something feels off, so I’m already two moves ahead of everyone else. Creepy noise? Ignore it. Dark basement? Nope. Split up? Never. Killer goes down? I’m checking twice. I’m finding exits, grabbing whatever I can use, and fighting back. I might end up cut, bruised and covered in blood, but I’m not dead or incapacitated. Either way, when those credits roll, I’m still standing.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d put every dollar toward my next independent horror film—a brutal, practical-effects-driven splatter revenge film with a fresh twist. Horror has always been where I’m most creative, and $13,000 wouldn’t just be prize money to me. It would be a chance to take something that’s been living in my head and finally put it on screen.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Bruce Campbell, without question. If I’m trapped in a horror movie, I want the guy who’s spent decades fighting Deadites, demons, and basically everything horror can throw at him. I know the scares and I’m always thinking two moves ahead, while Bruce brings the experience, attitude, and one-liners. Between the two of us, we’re not just surviving the movie—we’re getting a sequel.
