What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

When I was about 6 or 7, I was part of a haunted house trail ride. I played a creepy little girl locked in a dog cage, then got out and chased the trailers down. Most kids were scared of the haunted house. I was the kid they were scared of. Still one of my favorite Halloween memories.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’m too suspicious to be the first one gone. A weird noise in the basement? It can stay down there. My friends want to split up? Absolutely not. And if my kid is with me, that killer is going to have a much harder night than he planned.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d use the $13,000 to pay off debt from my son’s NICU stay and my ICU stay after giving birth. We went through so much just to get home together, and we’re still paying for it. Winning would give my family some much-needed breathing room. Being able to finally pay that off and put the money toward our life now would mean more than I can explain.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My mom, without a doubt. She’s my best friend and the person I’d trust most to get us out alive. She’d know when to hide, when to run, and when we’d have to fight back. I’d probably be panicking while she was already figuring out how to take the killer down. We’re making it to the credits together.
