What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable Halloween experience would have to be when I dressed up as La Muerte from the Book of Life. My dad and I worked on the costume together for a month. He’d take the hat to work and continue working on it while I’d stay up at night sewing the flowers to the dress. On the day of Halloween, I felt ethereal and confident in what I had made with him. I walked around neighborhoods with my family and got to talk to many people about my costume. The experience was incredibly sweet.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I would make it to the end of a horror movie because I don’t ignore my gut. I don’t answer my phone to strangers, I don’t turn back when running, I don’t call back to the darkness, and I ESPECIALLY don’t get up to investigate when something feels off. I may have asthma but I sure as hell can run back to my car and unlock it in time for me to drive off. And if it’s spiritual: it will be ignored and my home will be cleansed.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

With the $13,000 I would pay off my dad’s debts and lawyer fees so he can get his citizenship and start back on his feet. He’s been in this country since he was a kid yet received no citizenship. His job let him go due to government changes and no other would hire him. He’s in debt and struggling to pay it all off with no job. With the $13,000, I could help him with all of what he owes.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My real-life hero would be my best friend Keira. We’ve known each other since 6th grade and have been through hell and back together. She’s had my back even through the most idiotic moments of my life and has saved me from myself and others more times than I can count. I know I could survive anything with her. She’s definitely got more logic than me too which is perfect. With her logic and my intuition, we make the perfect team.
