What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Halloween night on set, I stood in full makeup beneath a flickering light, waiting for action. The crew went quiet. Somewhere beyond the cameras, metal scraped across concrete. I stayed in character, slowly turning toward the sound, wearing a smile that felt straight out of a nightmare. Then a man whispered, ‘Who’s standing behind you?’ I thought it was another actor. Every cast member was in front of me. For the first time that night, the fear on my face wasn’t acting. Nobody had called action.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’m a former firefighter and an actor—I know how to stay calm when things go wrong, and I know when a scene is too quiet. I’m watching the exits, keeping my people together, and grabbing something more useful than a dying flashlight. You won’t catch me investigating whispers in a basement or assuming the killer is dead. I’d make it to the end because fear gets my attention, but it doesn’t get control. The monster might have a sequel planned. So do I.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I’d reinvest the $13,000 into a film I’m working to shoot, putting it toward practical effects, locations, and bringing the story to life. As an actor, I want to create the kind of horror that stays with you long after the credits roll. That unlucky $13,000 would help turn my vision into someone else’s nightmare.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Robert Englund, without question. I’ve been obsessed with his portrayal of Freddy Krueger since childhood, and I grew up loving the Jason movies, too. He helped spark my love of horror, so surviving a horror movie alongside him would be a dream come true—or the ultimate nightmare. Who better to have beside me than the man who made falling asleep terrifying? I’d just insist we both stay awake.
