Sonja Berryhill

My gut said to do this. I grew up strict Pentecostal, never even celebrating Halloween. Now, as an adult, I love it all! Thanks for reading.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

The very first time I ever got to dress up for Halloween and not “Fall Festival”. I wore a cheesy, not scary in the slightest costume, but I felt alive as hell.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I think we’d all like to believe we’d all make it to the end of a horror movie. I at least hope I would. I would hope to outsmart the killer, maybe not outrun them. Who knows though? Maybe I’m the final kill and not the final girl.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

Honestly? I’d love to take my daughter traveling. I grew up in foster homes, so I want her to have everything I’ve never had, starting with DisneyWorld!

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My hero to SURVIVE with? Oh God that’s tough. Mae Jamison probably. She was the first African American woman to fly into space, and she faced a lot of hard times to get there. She’s badass, she’s tough, she’s stubborn, and she is DEFINITELY Final Girl material.
