What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable Halloween was freshman year of college. It was my first true adult Halloween weekend, and it felt like stepping back into the childhood excitement but with a new sense of freedom. We went through four different costumes, surrounded by energy and experiences I had never been part of before. After Halloween felt less exciting during my teens, this night brought the fun back, almost like being a kid again but with the thrill of college life.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

If I were in a horror movie, I would make it to the end because I am simply that girl. When I set my mind on something, I always find a way to succeed. I am a fighter and a leader, but I also know how to work with others and when to ask for help. That balance is what keeps people alive. I have also seen almost every horror movie, so I already know what to avoid. Survival is in the bag for me.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

With the unlucky thirteen thousand, I would first put some toward paying off my student loans since I just graduated. I would also give back to my parents, who came here as immigrants to create a better life for me, because I want them to feel the reward of their sacrifices. The rest I would use to build my drag career. I recently became a drag queen, and this would be the perfect chance to blend my love of horror with my passion for drag!

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My real life superhero I would choose to survive a horror movie with is my sister. She has always been strong, from translating English for my family when we were growing up to becoming a finance manager, owning her own home, and building a successful life. These are not easy things to achieve, especially for many people of color. The fact that she has risen above every challenge as a woman proves she has the strength and resilience it would take to survive.
