AFTER THE SHINING WAS RELEASED 1980 HALLOWEEN WAS NEVER THE SAME. DAYS ON END FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS TALKED ABOUT JACK. THE SPOOK ABOUT IT WAS THE GERMAN REICH THEN THE GUEST AT AN ISOLATED HOTEL & THEIR DEMISE. HALLOWEEN MOVIES BEGAN REALLY CREATIVE FLIGHT. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER THE EXORCIST & THE THING & CARRIE... ect ALL TOOK A BACK SEAT. THE CREEPY REALITY ABOUT THE SHINING WAS THAT THE AUDIENCE WAS ACTUALLY CREEPED OUT BY THE SADNESS OF THE HORROR.

JACK NICHOLSON & J. L. CURTIS OR ANTHONY HOPKINS. NEVERTHELESS JACK NICHOLSON TAKES THE CAKE. THE SHINING IS CONSIDERED A RESEARCH THEME IN MANY COLLEGES. AND THE MANY BACK STORIES AS TO WHY STANLEY KUBRICK--2001-SPACE ODYSSEY--SUPPOSEDLY MADE MANY EGGS IN THE MOVIE ABOUT THE FIRST MOON LANDING IS SUPER HOLLYWOOD BABBLE.
