What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
One year I used my house for a full-blown murder mystery party. Bloody handprints on the walls, body tape on the floor, and clues hidden everywhere. We spent hours solving puzzles after someone was found “dead”. It took weeks of planning, endless trips to the craft store, and fake blood galore, but it was the best chaos I’ve ever created.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I’m too stubborn to quit and too curious to die. I think like a chess player in a knife fight, always three moves ahead, and using anything around me as a weapon or distraction. The killer might have a plan, but determination is my jump scare they wouldn’t see it coming. I have the refusal to be anyone’s sequel bait.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I’d put it toward my UCLA student loans so I can step into a classroom as a teacher without the shadow of debt lurking behind me. Turning a “cursed” $13,000 into an investment for the future generations I’ll teach feels like the best kind of plot twist.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My mom (may she rest in peace). She was part fighter, part super intelligence, and part therapist. She could patch a wound, pick a lock, and probably talk a killer into questioning their life choices, all while making a snack. If a monster is after us, it’s the monster I’m worried for.
