What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My mother had beautiful porcelain dolls since I was a kid that for some reason always creeped out my sister. One year when I was visiting home after college she suggested we put them out as decorations, but first we tortured them. She was amazed with my work in school for makeup and wanted the dolls to be horrifying. We spent the afternoon turning them into beautiful macabre works of art. I’ll treasure them and the memory forever.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Everyone always talks about surviving a horror movie, but why would you want to? It’s the ones that survive that have it the worst. Watching everyone you love die, one by one, just to have to worry about a sequel? If it’s up to me I’m going fast and early. Hopefully with a really iconic scene that gets talked about for decades until the inevitable remake tries to one-up it.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

There’s been a horror project my Sister and I have been working on together for years and I would use the money to make it finally happen. No matter who wins I hope the money is used to create. The point of life is to create art, a lot of people don’t understand how just creating something you love can change the lives of millions of people forever. Every single person has the power and potential to do this.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

It was always me, my sister and my mom against the world. Just a week ago that changed forever. My sister and I are orphans now and have already survived the impossible. There is no one else I would rather have by my side than her.
