I may not look the part, but horror has been my escape since childhood—Halloween movies calm my anxiety more than anything else.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable Halloween experience was going out with my girls during Halloween weekend we went all out with our costumes, took tons of pictures, and had the best time just living in the moment. The energy, the creativity, and how everyone gets to be someone else for the night I seriously love Halloween. It’s the one time of year where we all tap into our fun, spooky side and make memories we talk about for months.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Let’s be real, I’d make it to the end of a horror movie because I’m Black and I have common sense. I’m not splitting up, I’m not checking the basement, and if the vibes are off I’m out. I’ve seen enough movies to know how this goes, and I’m not about to be a statistic. I’ve got final girl energy, survival instincts, and I always keep my phone charged. I’d be the one walking out in slow motion while the house burns behind me.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

If I won the unlucky $13K? Honestly, it’s a tough choice between fixing my life or ruining it in style. It’s either tits or a car do I become a badder version of myself, or finally stop Ubering everywhere? Either way, I’m showing up to Thanksgiving looking expensive, chaotic, and blessed. Let the money be cursed, I’ll make it iconic.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My real-life hero I’d want to survive a horror movie with is AOC. Not only is she brilliant and fearless, but I just know she’d keep her cool under pressure and probably figure out who the killer is halfway through the movie. We’d be the perfect final girl duo smart, resourceful, and not here for the nonsense. Plus, she’d give an empowering speech while we barricade the door. If anyone’s making it out alive, it’s us.
