I’m a huge horror fanatic who studies horror sfx makeup and film ever since I was a little kid!
You decide who wins the sinister $13,000, and meets Jamie Lee Curtis, Matthew Lillard, and Kane Hodder!
Dying to know what Face of Halloween is all about?
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
My mother would throw these Halloween parties every year when I was younger and we would go ALL OUT. One year was a Haunted Mansion theme and, me being obsessed with SFX Makeup, my mother let me dress up as the zombie with half its body torn off. We had so much fun making the fake intestines. As for the results? Let’s just say I wasn’t allowed to do gore for 3 years after making my grandma faint.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
In a lot of horror scenarios, people always chose the dumbest options. Serial killer chasing after you? Why, let’s run upstairs with no exit! Random creepy noise in the house? Let’s go investigate it with no way of protecting ourselves! It never made sense to me. I’m always quick on my feet, especially in high stake situations. I’ve always been great at keeping everyone in check and keeping people safe, so I’m sure that we could all survive. Strength’s always better in numbers after all.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I would use that money towards my college. I’m currently in college for computer animation. I always wanted to make horror media inspired by Tim Burton. His stop motion horror movies, albeit not entirely scary, was the cornerstone of my childhood and what I strive to be when I grow up. Alvin Schwartz is another inspiration for me, his Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark books were one of the first books I was genuinely interested in.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My all time favorite hero growing has and will always be Matthew Lillard. I have adored everything he has ever been in. I can’t express just how ecstatic I was when I found out he was playing William Afton in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movies. I had already loved Matthew Lillard from the original Scream films to him playing the live action Shaggy Rodger’s, so when I found out my childhood hero was playing the villain in one of my favorite game series? My inner child could NOT be any happier.
