I celebrate Halloween AT LEAST once a year—my birthday fell on Friday the 13th this year, and I hosted a Summerween party to celebrate!
We would like to thank you for supporting Millea Erell in this years competition. Your participation helps aid the Starlight Children's Foundation in its mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families through virtual reality experiences, fun hospital wear, games, and positivity!
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Just earlier this year, at Chicago’s C2E2 2024, I hosted a Horror Meetup. I had planned everything for months. Bracelet making, stickers to hand out, an hours-long Halloween playlist, Polaroids and photos—complete with props! And, of course, BLOOD! The event, while small, was bustling. I was running around, making sure everyone was having a good time. I felt like the King of Halloween—ensuring everyone’s joy, fright, and good time! It was exhilarating. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
Every horror fan has faced the screen and SCREAMED at characters doing the most stupid acts possible, ultimately ENSURING their demise. Much like Jordan Peele’s work has demonstrated, sometimes you need to realize when to say “nope.” Nerd knowledge comes in handy, and I think I could save my ass with it!
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I would use it to fuel my passions! I am an aspiring creative, and unfortunately, such a dedication does not come without its many fees. I would be able to pay for a new mic, set up, and studio, making my goal to become a voice among horror icons easier to achieve. If I have any left over? The wisest answer would be to invest, but I can treat myself just a bit, right? Maybe I’ll throw another Halloween-themed party to celebrate!
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
Matthew Lillard. 100%! He continues to inspire me, both inside and outside of my profession. We have met before, back in 2024, and ever since then I have been even more determined to earn my spot in the horror community. Be it on screen or in a booth, Lillard’s work has pushed me to try harder. If he can inspire me like that, then I want to inspire others, too! But, if the killer is chasing after the both of us, and he trips and falls, I don’t think I’m gonna lighten up my pace. Sorry, Matt! 🫀
