Mark Upson

I was the male child version of Carol Ann growing up (but poor). Every place we moved to ended up haunted. Halloween is where I own my fear.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

When I was a Child, my Mom was a crisis counselor for Battered women. She worked sometimes 60 hours a week, so we were there occasionally. One year we went to the Halloween party thrown for residents. I was a sheriff that year. I was surprised to see my friend Sara from school. More so when I found out she was living there. She was happy to have a friend. I was a sheriff that year and 7 years old. I’ve had many excellent Halloweens, but helping her feel normal still stands out.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I lift weights 6 days a week and I DONT SKIP CARDIO. I run 3 miles every other day and walk 20,000 steps per day. I can also cook, clean, mechanical work and am a certified welder amongst many other talents

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

Whatever I want, of course.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Ash from Evil Dead. Bruce Campbell is King.
