What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

When I was in second grade, I vividly remember having a visceral reaction to the chapter in "Ramona the Pest", where Ramona Quimby is "the baddest witch in the world" and terrorizes the other school children. The Louis Darling illustration really stuck with me, and it evoked such feelings at a young age, that Halloween is something more than a holiday. The feeling of the air, the color and crunch of the leaves, it has been a special and sacred day for well over thirty years.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Each year since 2019 has progressively gotten worse, therefore more frightening, over the past six, six, six years. From mental breakdowns due to trauma, to divorce from a 15+ year relationship, to single parenting two children during severe financial hardship due to real world terrors because corporate America. All while maintaining sobriety from booze and benzos since September 6, 2016. My life has been a real life horror movie hell since and I am STILL the last girl standing.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I would be able to make something of my life, provide for my kids; I have been without a car since October 30, 2024 -- it is taxing to walk everywhere, expensive to attempt to rideshare anywhere, and defeating to not be able to have a mode of transportation. It would not be dire that I get a second job anymore if I won, I would be able to pay off a loan that's tethering me to one of *the* scariest things -- corporate America. I would be able to create art again, which is all I truly long for.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My 17 y.o. daughter. Her birth saved my life, she has taught me more about myself and empowered me to learn how to better navigate a world and its wicked ways, all while holding onto hope and trusting that I will find my way to the exit door of this never ending nightmare. All I want, is to show her (and my 9 y.o.) it is possible to achieve dreams and inspire others through creativity and self-expression... she deserves the world and to truly thrive, not depend on me to barely survive.
