Kandi Ranson

I love horror movies so much that I choose to be an integral part of creating them.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

I was about 10 years old. My grandmother took me to a haunted house party hosted by a church. I panicked inside a cardboard maze. No lights at all. You had to crawl through to the other end to find your way out. I froze in place then started screaming. That's all I could do. A man came in. It was even more frightening! I thought he was there to murder me. Through my screams I started yelling "Help Me!" I soon heard Grandmother, outside, saying "He is there to help you."

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I would make it out alive, because I know what not to do. You don't run toward the danger. You run away from it. OR I would be a surviving villain.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I will pay my bills, put some away for a rainy day, donate some of the $ to Starlight Children's Foundation and use some to make a horror movie I've been writing.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Jeff Bracey (Kill Syndrome 2006) is the one person I can think of that I would love to survive a horror movie with. He and I play well together. Somehow we are a natural fit and easily play off each other while acting.
