What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

I was too old to trick-or-treat, but knew it was my last. I wore an old tux, and my oldest brother, the drama kid, made my beard and turned me to a werewolf. At the final house a boy cried, 'I’ll get it!'—then opened the door, froze, and ran, yelling, 'Mom, you get it!' She laughed, 'Best costume of the night, by far.' In that moment, it felt like childhood slipping away, one last howl at the moon.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Though I walk through the valley of death, I fear no evil—for I’m the meanest son of a bitch that valley ever knew. Shadows may gather, monsters may stalk, but they break before I do. I’ve stared down devils, bled in the dark, and still I stand. The valley doesn’t claim me—I claim the valley. And as the credits roll, you understand why I made it to the end.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

Split the \$13K three ways: \$5K into investments for long-term growth, \$4K on key home/land upgrades to boost value and cut future costs, and \$4K to start the pond project for enjoyment and property appeal. This balances future wealth, practical needs, and present joy.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

Keanu Reeves—because he’s calm under pressure, skilled in combat, and carries a grounded humanity that makes people want to follow him. In a horror movie, he’d balance fight with wisdom, keeping you alive through grit, heart, and sheer determination.
