Joanny Lugo

I watch horror movies everyday like it’s a mandated rule. My first horror movie was when I was about 5 or 6 and It was “Child’s Play”.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable halloween experience is also my most embarrassing. It made me realize I was deathly terrified of clowns when I was younger. I was trick or treating with my cousins and aunts when I was younger around the neighborhood I grew up in. There was a clown and he came up to us to scare us. I screamed so loud and I kicked the clown. I was a young child so my kick ended up on his knee and he took a major tumble to the floor. I was never the same after that.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I would make it to the end of a horror movie because I know I’m not invincible. I don’t need to go anywhere alone or investigate without the group. Always stay together because there’s strength in numbers. Always trust your instincts, because that feeling in your gut is very telling.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I wouldn’t go crazy because that’s not my character. I like to think more into the future so I’d put money aside for those rainy days. It can get tough for even the most strongest person sometimes. I would help my mom out since she just got knee surgery. I’m also a mom to an almost teen boy. I’m constantly thinking about his future, so I would put money away for him.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

To be completely honest the person who’s my real life hero is love to survive a horror movie with is my great grandmother. Sadly she’s no longer living. It’ll be 2 years since her passing this year. She was a strong woman not afraid of anything. She gave me my strength and confidence to be able to go after what I want in life. She was and will always be my phenomenal woman.
