Horror is my warm, comfy, security blanket. Through the PTSD and TBI symptoms, horror is there to slow everything down.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
I would go with several halloweens in a row after I bought my current house. I would get my old beat to death coveralls I still had from the Marine Corps, my sketchy boots, and my Michael Myers mask and do the slow and calculated stroll around on Halloween night with the trick or treaters. I loved all of the “he even walks like him” comments I would hear. One little small joy at a time getting those reactions.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I don’t walk into houses in the middle of nowhere. My knees are so shot we don’t have to worry about me running upstairs. I’ve never been to a summer camp. I don’t say peoples names three times. I can’t sleep without my meds. I’m not a babysitter. Most importantly, I love a good fight and have a way of fighting and surviving anything.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I would first pay off some of my credit card debt. Second, I would take a trip with my girlfriend and treat her. I would put a chunk of it into my savings and investments. The rest would help payoff whatever debt my parents have that I could help with to get them to retirement sooner.
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
If it was horror movie hero’s I would put Kane, Robert, or Jamie simply because those are the go to series for me. Except I would hold the knife, not Jamie. In the animal world I would pick my Maine Coon named Richard. For some reason, I think that would be one hell of a horror movie.
