What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

Halloween is the one time of year where being myself is socially acceptable. I first realized this sophomore year of high school when my mom—an insanely talented makeup artist—turned me into a character inspired by “The Hills Have Eyes” : one eye missing, rotted teeth, tattered clothes, boils. While the other girls dressed like kittens, there I was hiding behind trash cans, making even the footballers scream and run. It was glorious, and the moment I discovered the true power of makeup.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

Horror movies don’t scare me—they crack me up. I’m the one laughing when I get jump scared and giggling through the goriest scenes. So in a scary movie, the villain would probably assume there’s something seriously wrong with me and move on… or they’d figure I was already on their side. Either way, my laughter would keep me alive until the credits rolled.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

When my mom got cancer, I left my makeup career in LA to come home and care for her. She fought fiercely for two years, but I lost her. If I won, I’d use the $13,000 to return to LA and fully pursue my dream of being a makeup artist, like she was, creating works of beauty and horror in her honor.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

I’d want to survive a horror movie with my little brother. He’s been by my side through every battle life has thrown at us, and he’s the only one I know as twisted as I am. While most people would scream in terror, we’d probably be laughing at the chaos, making the villain question their life choices—and maybe even recruiting them to our side.
