Erika Kilpatrick

I love Halloween and freaking people out. I love horror movies and also doing makeup and props for spooky things.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

I was about 13 and dressed up as ghost face. I had the voice changer too. Out trick or treating, I knocked on the door and said “trick or treat” with the voice changer. The girl who answered screamed and slammed the door on me, then immediately reopened the door. She said they were watching scream then threw some candy to me. Super funny, perfect timing.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I think it’s about being smart. They’re probably stronger than me, maybe faster. Gotta try to be the smarter one and maybe get lucky and take them out instead!

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

My daughter wants me to start a YouTube channel doing horror makeup on a budget and kind of on the fly. Although we would be trying to stay on a budget, having the materials to do multiple episodes would take some startup money. I think it would mean a lot to my daughter for me to bring her idea to life, even if the channel isn’t very popular, doing it is the important thing.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

My daughter. She’s the reason I’m still around. Plus she likes explosives, that could come in handy.
