I am part of a horror art collective and have made horror a large part of my life since I was little — I even worked in the funeral industry
You decide who wins the sinister $13,000, and meets Jamie Lee Curtis, Matthew Lillard, and Kane Hodder!
Dying to know what Face of Halloween is all about?
What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
Halloween has so many great memories, from spectacularly decorated houses to scary movie marathons and getting to dress up in chilling or gory costumes. My favourite memory right now, though, is going to see Evil Dead in theatres when the re-recorded soundtrack came out, or going to see the band Cattle Decapitation where I was able to join a moshpit of people, some in costume for the occasion.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
Even though I’m disabled, I’m a femme fatale with a track record of being a badass, able to take care of myself and those I care about. I am skilled when it comes to self-defense and am hyperaware of my surroundings. I tend to notice subtle red flags very easily, a skill that has actually saved my life quite a few times. I also have a love of knives, axes, and blades in general that comes with experience throwing them and wielding them. I’m more likely to end up the survivor taking revenge
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
I would be able to get the disability aids I need in order to live a full life and have more than enough to support the horror art collective I work with so that we can make the haunting, nightmarish art, music, and more that we dream of
Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?
My Zaida passed away when I was about 9, but he had been a huge horror fan (he even had a huge print of the Silence of the Lambs poster art on his wall). Getting to experience the unique thrill of surviving a horror movie with him while also getting to witness what useful skills he would have would be amazing. Either him or Emma Goldman, who has always been my hero and survived real life horrors like my Zaida did.
