On a spine-chilling Halloween night, I was drawn into a world of mischief by some rascally goons. Suddenly, I heard my mum's terrified scream echoing from the bathroom. Rushing to her aid, I was taken aback to find her there, drenched and panicking as water poured down from the vent above the toilet. Just moments before, we had been glued to the screen watching *Carrie*, but now, it seemed like the horror was unfolding right in our own home!

Not everyone makes it out alive in a horror film, and as strange as it may sound, I believe that critical thinking will be a vital skill for survival in the challenges that lie ahead. In moments of fear, I foresee the importance of remaining calm and considering my options carefully instead of succumbing to panic. I often imagine myself engaging in risky behaviors and navigating perilous landscapes on my own. Silence, my most loyal companion, will wrap around me like a comforting blanket,
