What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?
As a Cuban immigrant, my great grandmother was obsessed with Halloween. It wasn’t celebrated back home so it was a real American treat! She loved getting to know her neighbors, and she LOVED to sew and make costumes. In 2002, it wasn’t easy to find a cheap 1950s-esque kids costume. She sewed together a skirt out of baby pink satin, with a black and white poodle appliqué, fluffy crinoline and all! I fell in love with that costume and wore it until it couldn’t fit. My mom still has the skirt!
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
It doesn’t take a masked murderer to put me into fight or flight mode. This ghoul is in trauma response 24/7 and is ALWAYS READY to TAKE SOMEONE DOWN! And with my horror cinema knowledge at my disposal and Florida born-and-raised background, I am the world’s worst nightmare. Florida Woman, if you will.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
First, I would give my mom half to repay her for everything she has given me. I’m 3rd-born of 5 kids. I wouldn’t be who I am without her, and she deserves every $! I would use the rest to build up the tattoo studio I just opened up! I’ve been stabbing people, artistically of course, for about 4 years now ;) @sinistersummertattoo
