Ava Hunting

I used to stay up to watch Monstober. I'm planning on Trick or treating even though I'm 18. Halloween air is different and I live for it.

What’s your most memorable Halloween experience?

My most memorable halloween experience is from when I was little, pre-kindergarten age, and I went trick-or-treating with my mom. That halloween was particularly cold, but I insisted on not wearing a coat. The fire station was handing out donuts and warm cider, I was getting many compliments on my witch costume. As I got to the last house, the man who answered the door asked me if I was a wicked witch. I was appalled and informed him that I was a good witch who loves halloween! I was so cute.

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I've been able to pretend almost every twist in horror movies. Want me to investigate an abandoned house? Nope. Want me to stand outside while you investigate? Nope. You leave the group with someone else and that person ends up dead and you seem traumatized? You did it. Want me to get in a car? Nope. Waiting for me to take the first sip of a drink you made? Nope. Want me to call the police? Better off protecting myself. Want me to be the bait in a trap? Absolutely not.

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

Honestly, I'd invest part into the S&P 500 for retirement, keep some in my general savings, help my fiancé pay for his second year of college, and anything left over will go toward a down payment for a house.

Who is your real-life hero who you would want to survive a horror movie with?

I'd want to be paired up with my dad. He was a firefighter for a very good while, has his own contracting business and does a lot of handyman work, and also bow hunts. Those all pose some very useful skills!
